No, it’s not a robot head from A low-budget sci-fi movie from the 1950s. It is not a hair dryer from a beauty shop in the 1950s either. This is a high-wind chimney cap.THIS IS THE MONSOON CAP!

Early on in our industry we had (and still have) wind-directional rain caps, which would spin and shift direction with wind. The problem was that they did not keep all of the rain from entering the chimney flue. We even saw a few get blown off of the chimney. The monsoon cap is an upgraded design that solved these problems.
